The Collaborative Mini Malm Burner series is aimed at working with other artists to create a crossover body of work. I hope that the outcome is a bunch of amazing pieces, plus, it will be a way to cross promote our work to each others audience!

The September collaborative artist Is Rain Harris. Rain is a Ceramic Artist Based out of Kansas City, MO. Her work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions both nationally and abroad. She has also participated in residencies around the world and received grants and fellowships including an American Craft Council Emerging Artist Grant, an Independence Foundation Fellowship. Her work is in private collections and over a dozen national and international museums. Her work is spurred by an analytical interest in the ironies associated with excess and class, which become interpreted visually through color, pattern and decoration. She freely borrows stylistic embellishments and motifs from the decorative arts and combines incongruous elements to create work that pushes decorative eclecticism to a point of excessive overindulgence.

The Mini Malm Burner sculpture emulates the popular Midcentury design fireplace of the same name. It is perfect for burning cone, rope, paper, or any other incense! Each sculpture stands approximately 9" high and 4" at the widest point, and comes in a rainbow of ten glaze colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Teal, Blue, Purple, Stone, Black, and White. Each Mini Malm Burner is handmade from stoneware and no two are exactly alike.
